To upgrade modern aquaculture techniques and facilitate the high-quality, digital and intensive operation of fishery businesses, the professional technical team of our company travelled to Deqing County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province on July 24, 2026 to carry out field benchmarking exchanges on recirculating aquaculture system (RAS). The activity was arranged to benchmark top-tier industrial operation models and absorb cutting-edge technologies as well as practical management experience from industry benchmarks.
Situated in the water system hinterland of the Hangjiahu Plain, Deqing boasts a solid foundation in the aquaculture industry. Relying on smart fishery platforms including Digital Fishery Warehouses and Smart Fish Farms, the local government has pushed forward the construction of facility-based fisheries across the region. Its integrated technical system for factory-style recirculating aquaculture and industrial application effects rank among the top tier nationwide, making Deqing a model demonstration zone for intensive aquaculture in China.
With technical briefings delivered by local equipment manufacturers, our team conducted systematic research on core supporting facilities of recirculating aquaculture, such as microfiltration devices, biological purification systems, UV disinfection equipment and constant-temperature oxygenation units. The team thoroughly mastered equipment operating mechanisms, standardized operating procedures and routine maintenance management specifications.

During visits to multiple large-scale demonstration fish farms, the team conducted field investigations into the actual operating conditions of aquaculture ponds constructed with brick-concrete structures, reinforced concrete and polypropylene (PP) materials. The obvious adaptability advantages of PP ponds within recirculating water systems were summarized, furnishing solid practical references for the facility selection and scheme implementation of our subsequent fishery projects.

Furthermore, our team held special technical seminars with senior local aquatic breeding technicians to systematically learn core seed breeding processes covering broodstock domestication, artificial spawning induction and egg hatching. Under the practical guidance of on-site technical staff, team members participated in field operations including broodstock capture and spawning agent injection, realizing deep integration between theoretical knowledge and on-site practical operation.
Characterized by clear objectives and comprehensive research dimensions, this benchmarking exchange enabled our team to fully adopt mature technical routes and operation management modes of intelligent recirculating aquaculture applied in Deqing, accumulating abundant practical data and implementation experience for the construction of our self-owned modern fishery projects.

In the next phase, the technical team will systematically review the advanced technical schemes and operation & maintenance experience acquired from this exchange. In response to the industrial upgrading demands of Nigeria’s aquaculture sector as it transforms from traditional extensive farming to large-scale, standardized and intelligent breeding modes, we will formulate customized recirculating aquaculture solutions and equipment configuration systems adaptive to local water & soil conditions and actual operation environments. These efforts will help Nigeria’s aquaculture industry improve product quality, cut operating costs and lift overall efficiency, while steadily advancing the construction and long-term operation of our company’s fishery projects in Africa.
